Why this exists

As an adult learning piano, the staff felt like a wall.

Every line meant counting up from middle C—slow “translation” instead of playing. I didn't need more theory on paper; I needed reps linking dots on the page to finger motion—like learning to touch-type.

So I wanted a Monkeytype-style drill I could open on a laptop or phone and grind sight-reading anywhere.

That's TypePiano: sight-reading gym for grown-up beginners.
